How To Reset GPS (Geo Location, Share Your Location, etc) On the Mobile App

Initially, the Ankota app asks one time if it may use your  location.  Please allow this on your browser/mobile device.  On  occasion, folks will inadvertently choose "No".  

This is  problematic because later upon clock in/clock out, an error will appear  noting that you choose not to share your location.

In order to reset and to solve this issue, please follow these steps:


  • Go into Chrome on your mobile device.


  • Press the Menu (three dotes in the upper right hand corner of the top bar.


  • Press "Settings"


  • Press "Site Settings"


  • Press "Location"


  • We expect that you'll see some sites under "Allowed" and that you'll see https://ankota.net under "Blocked."


  • Press "https://ankota.net"


  • Press "Clear and Reset"


  • Then  go back to your application "ankota.net/<org code>" and the first  time that you clock in or clock out you will be again asked the "Ankota  would like to share your location" question." Please answer "allow" and  you should be all set going forward.
